Mackay to Sarina Railway Station (58km)
This is a back route to Sarina. It's longer than the highway but has far less traffic and noise.

Train Services
Bikes can be taken on the Sunlander train service but not the Tilt Train. Unfortunately the timetable isn't really useful for cycling unless you want to ride in the evening or spend some time at the railway station.

Mon, Tues, Thurs, Sat: Depart Mackay 10.44pm Arrive Sarina 11.25pm

Sun, Mon, Wed: Depart Sarina 1.17am Arrive Mackay 1.55am
Fri: Depart Sarina 4.17am Arrive Mackay 5.25am

Cost: Adult: $8.80 single, Student: $5.50, Bicycle $2.00
